Seattle Half Marathon...how hilly is it?

I've been planning on doing the Seattle Half Marathon for several months. I would really like to PR, as I've been doing a lot of speedwork and have increased my training. Now I'm wondering if the Seattle isn't the best course to try and PR.

Any thoughts on this?

I've always run the full, but the half shares all the "interesting" miles.

I can tell you that it is really not a PR course - not the worst you can imagine, but it wiil throw some hills at you.

Easy graded and a lot of down for the first 6.

Some small rollers 6-7.5, then a substantial uphill at mile 7.5 which continues to rolling (more up than down) all the way past mile 10.

At 10.5 you'll see the Space Needle and finish line, it's mostly downhill (and easy grades) to the finish from there.

It may not be as hard for the half as the full: all the challenge is from miles 6-10 in the half, which is not the worst place. In the full it's at 19-23 which IS the worst place to have it. Still, budget a few minutes for those late middle miles

Have a great race.
