HRM above or below the nipples?

Just got a Garmin 305 with the heart rate monitor. I've never used a heart rate monitor before, so I'm not really sure how to use it. The manual says "just below the breastplate." A picture would have been more helpful. So, above the nipples or below?

I am a woman, I wear mine under the bottom of my sports bra so it sits under the band that goes around my torso and hooks at the back.
If you are not female I hope you are somewhat familiar with bras and can visualize the placement
