Bug Report Thread

Since the Bug Report function isn't yet working, maybe we should compile a list for our corporate overlords to get started on. For your bug, please report the operating system and browser version you are using.

Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard. Firefox 2.0.0.11

1. The Report-a-Bug "Send Email" link is a dead link, it just takes me back into the "Report a Bug" blog page.

2. Clicking the "Next" button to advance to the next page of a thread is a dead link, it gives a system error message.

3. Media uploads (pics, mp3's, vids, etc) don't work when clicked on to be accessed by other users.

That's all I've found so far.

The "quote" function has disappeared.

You can't go to the top of the clubhouse from the bottom of the page.

I can't stop email notifications. I don't want an email every time some responds to my thread. I click on the link that says "Stop email notification." it even flashes that I will not be getting said emails. Well, this morning I had to delete 15 emails.

Please stop the madness.

BAP - to quote a post, click the reply button on that post (not the big reply to OP at the bottom of the thread). In the reply window, next to the smiley face are some talk bubbles (what are those things called?). If you click them, it quotes the post!

How come what you see in the reply window isn't what comes up in the post - when I press enter in the reply window, it shows a double space, but it doesn't come up as a double space once it's posted. But if I press enter twice I get a huge space

CTW - I changed my preferences to not receive email notifications and I also had 15 emails to delete today. And here I though I'd got friends suddenly

I think you have to click two radio buttons in your account preferences. One of them to not get email in threads you start and one not to get emails about threads you post in.

Unless you like 937 emails a day, in which case don't do anything.

Unless you like 937 emails a day, in which case don't do anything.

However that doesn't unsubscribe me from the threads for which I'm already receiving emails... there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

We should be able to quote one quote instead ofall the quotes and we should be able to edit the quote so we can reply to a certain part of the quote.

And we need a signiture line

This place seems less glitchy on Firefox than IE. I don't have any scientific evidence to back that up though.

I figured out how to unsubscribe from all those emails!!!!

Click "My Active" next to your username at the top

You'll see several tabs above your user information... Account, Profile, etc. Scroll or look all the way to the right -- a tab says "Email Notifications"

Click "Email Notifications", select the threads you want to unsubscribe and click "Delete" or "Unsubscribe" (I forget what the button says, but it's self-explanatory). There you go.

My complaints so far....

1) My 1st CR account was one that I quickly abandoned and I then created another account (as pfunksbn). I got an email to that first, hardly used account about how to log in at active. The email said "Over the past couple of months we’ve sent you updates about the upcoming Cool Running and Active.com user account transition..." Uh, no, this was the only email I ever got. The email addy I used to create my pfunksbn accout never got anything at all.

2) For some reason, they made me change my name. And I can't change my profile as the 'save changes' button does not work. And sometimes when I go to the profile page, I get a "create account " page instead. Obviously everything is still very buggy.

3) On the main discussion page, there is a dropdown so you can choose how many threads to display, but it doesn't hold your selection, which sort of defeats the purpose.

It just flips back to 15 threads per page.
