League of Lizards Week 5 (and some Week 4)

Hi, LOL-ers!

Thought I'd give this a try. So who is starting Week 5, who's finishing week 4 and what names are we using (i.e. "Lizard" vs the one my mother thought more attractive)?

Lizard for now at least (ready for week 5)

All right, I made it! I will be starting Week 5 on Tuesday. Today's W4D3 run went great, and the first run of W5 looks really do-able.

I was nervous about the 20 minute run on W5D3, until I realized that those of us who've made it through Week 4 have already been running 16 minutes a day for the past 3 runs! The biggest difference will be eliminating the walking breaks... which I think I'll be able to do by the end of the week. I hope so anyway :p

Hey Fellow Lizards-

I am totally psyched for week 5, the first day of week 4 was tough but 2+3 were cake, so I know I can kick but and take names later. On Saturday, I found myself wandering Lowes thinking , **** my legs feel strong...it was such a good feeling

It was great to find daily emails from all you guys, helped keep me focused and on the ball.

You guys rock!

Sarah

Hey all! It took me a while, but this new format FINALLY allowed me to log in! Guess they still have some bugs to work out.

I will be starting week 5 tomorrow and looking forward to it. On W4D3 I actually added an extra 3 minute run to the end and felt pretty good. Then we spent the day shoveling snow and now I can feel a tinge in my back. Hopefully tomorrow will go well.

I signed up for my very first 5K - I will run it in February! It's great to have a goal to shoot for.

Have a great week everyone!

Hi all,

It seems like everyone did really well with Week 4.

I completed W4D3 on Saturday and while I didn't find it easy, it wasn't so hard that I felt that I should repeat the week, so on to week 5 for me too!

Just finished W5D1 - after D2 and D3 last week were tough for me, I didn't have much optimism that I'd be making it through week 5 without repeating. But...today was great. I felt strong and I feel like maybe W5D3 is actually achievable!

OMG! It took me forever to get to this thread. I am already frustrated with this new site. I think I am the only one in week 4 still, as you all leave me in your dust...:_|.

I am shooting for day 3 tomorrow. I still feel ok about the runs, not having any problems with the exception of the weather. I do have to say that a straight 20 minute run is a bit intimidating to say the least, but like you guys said, we have been running for 16 minutes, just with some walking thrown in.

I feel like I am going too long between runs. After tomorrow, I think I will attempt a day 1 of week 5 and see how it goes. I plan to look for a 5K in the late spring so I will get there, even if I have to double up a week here and there!

Congrats to all who are starting week 5!!! I want to hear how it goes!!

Hi everyone! Can't believe we're on to week 5 already! I just finished W5D1 and it went great! I even added an additional 3 minute run to the end.

I'm planning to run the "Frosty 5K" here in Medina, Ohio on February 17th!!!

Congratulations to everyone finishing week 4 - not as bad as we thought it would be!

Stacey - glad you were finally able to get on the forum! It took me a while too!
