Running on the Cape (Cod that is)

I'm going to be on vacation next month in Cape Cod (Orleans to be precise). Are there any good places to run in that area? I will need to run up to 8 - 9 miles. Thanks.

Peace
Karl

I have a question about lodging in the Falmouth area... I'm thinking of registering for the Cape Cod Marathon on October 30. When I look into the race Web site, under 'Accomodation', I'm not overly enthousiastic... and I suspect the real cool places to say in, if you're a runner and want to enjoy a short holiday in the Cape rea, will not bother to advertise where I'm currently looking (when I look under 'Accomodation' in the Website for my local marathon, I KNOW all the nice, and less expensive places are not listed there)..

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated...

Coureur,

If you're planning on vacationing on the Cape in October, you may want to look into renting a cottage (house)...typically these rentals run from Saturday through Saturday, but October will be the off-season and you may be able to find something. Check into local real estate companies (maybe check the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce or tourism bureau); most Cape realtors handle vacation rentals as well as sales. Good luck! It's a great time to be on the Cape. Look further out than Falmouth as well -- everything is pretty close by on the Cape and the smaller towns are great.
