Be careful out there! Just resumed outdoor running on Monday, running too and from school (work) in St. Laurent. Exactly 8Km. each way. I just get going and it's time to stop. Usually run each leg about 35-37 minutes depending on road conditions. Snow removal in NDG SUCKS!!!!!!!! Sidewalks remain unplowed and roads the same. Very greasy & treacherous, even with the studs in the old 917's. Twisted my ankle yesterday jumping a snowbank and landing awkwardly. (you would never know I used to be a steeplechaser) Since I am starting to lose my big toenail on the same foot, I'll probably hit the pool today, maybe some weight & treadmill tonight.

It's amazing that Hampstead & TMR have their territories immaculate and NDG remains the worst municipality around. Finally this morning they cleaned Melrose. THANKS FOR NOTHING GUYS! Anyways, I would like to do a 21.1 before Boston, so if anyone wants to get together just give me a shout.

What's even worse is when there's little frozen white balls of $hit on the road and you step on them turning your ankle over, real pain in the rear. I guess if your going to be doing a winter 1/2 you'll be either doing the Boreal St. Patricks day 1/2 or the one in Peterborough. It was kinda chilly on the Jette gestern, especially with the wind and snow which left a sheet of ice on the side of my face (no joke).

Sorry grommit do not think I'll make it for the X-mas day run upadahill. I spoke with Stephane this morning and he may join you at the monuments for the run but was not sure at what time he could go I will seem him tonight so I'll find out.

So far KJ and Df, for a group hill run next week, any one else and who will lead the flock.

No one interested in the hpothermic 1/2 marathon in February. My co-worker and I are hoping for a very cold day so that no one will show up and we'll have a change at the top three finisher medals.

10 miler this morning 1 hour 39 minutes.

BTW the Jay Marathon is capped at 300 runners so those running register early.

The torture continues.

Geez, hypodermic 1/2 sounds like a real poke in the ***, I'd think I'd rather go with the slightly hypothermic 1/2.

Grommit - trying to figure something out for Sunday...will we be running in mud by then ?

Last night - an hour in the streets of the neighbourhood, yuck ! Weather was lovely but my shoes are now a wonderful shade of gray.

Sally, DR - are you feeling better ?

TB - knee ?

The wrapping continues...

Sally, Thats Officer Roly of the IPF. I'm more worried about your ankle now then your swimming do what ever it takes to get better to keep those medals coming for a long time. I'll still need training partners when I win my age catagory at 80.

Do not hate the TM, the TM is our friend, be one with the TM...actually is a great training tool with the right plan and attitude it can really help. last month I ran close to 280 km an increase of 130 km from the previous month ( so much for the 10% rule, anyway..) No way could I have done this on the sidewalks and pavement around home injury free.

Grommit, I like the webcast at endurance radio really great interviews with ultrarunners. I get an idea of how much I will have to push to reach all the dreams (lunacy) that I have not yet shared with everyone.

Df7 Pace yourself try not to get wrappers elbow.
