Spirit of St. Louis Marathon

Has anyone here ever run the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon in St. Louis? I am thinking about doing the marathon this April, and am looking to see if anyone has had a good experience with this one.

I ran it this past April and loved it! The temperature was perfect for marathoning. In my opinon, it has one of the best t-shirts (I've run 53 marathons). I want to run it again but maybe next year. This year I'm running the Kentucky Derby Marathon the weekend before.

One downside for me was that the "Arch" closed early on Saturday due to overbooking of people. I never realized how HUGE the Arch is. If you do go you can register for the (St. Louis) Arch online. I wish I had know this.

I'd recommend the race. I have ran the half in 2004, but sat out this year due to the birth of my son. I will be out there again in 2006, though.
The theme of "art and sole" is interesting.
The course goes through several different areas to look at.
