Re: 50+ December 2007 Thread (Active.com)

Hi Joe,

I did 4 miles on XC skis Saturday, then 5 miles on the tread mill yesterday.

I'm taking a "wait and see" attitude towards this place, hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon. Right now it's quite a mess and makes one wonder why the need for all these changes.

Thanks for starting the thread...

Pegruns, as you can tell from ptbrown's inept quoting, he is not the person you deal with here. Please send your $100 check to me and I will see that are integrated into the group properly.

Re: 50+ December 2007 Thread (Active.com)

Peg, nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy the new shoes.

Old news: I'll be off the road for a while due to a partial tear in that high hamstring tendon area, soft tissue and bone marrow edema. I'll be keeping myself out of trouble tendin' to my tendon and checking in here once in a while.

I look forward to reading all the good info that's always been an important part of this thread.

Re: 50+ December 2007 Thread (Active.com)

I thought this would be the perfect time to transition to the 50+ thread wherever that ends up. Hope you don't mind me posting here. Re this 'active' thing, I'm just going with the flow and seeing how it all shakes out.

Got in 9.7 ez miles @ 9:51 pace. Got this lingering piriformis muscle 'pain in the butt' thing that comes and goes. Other than that, I'm running okay and in a base-building mode, averaging 40+ per week. Plan on moving to 50+ in New Year and beginning a training program for my spring marathon.

4.25 miles on TM. Went to the gym. It's always easier than the TM at home. More entertainment, just watching people rather than the display on the TM.

See you tomorrow.

Well, quite frankly, I think since it's my birthday, I should be the one getting instead of receiving!!! Shouldn't you guys be pitching in and buying something nice for the newest member on her 50th????

Happy Birthday!!! Mine is on Friday. It stunk being a Christmas baby when you were a kid didn't it? All of the other kids got presents some other time throughout the year. I got mine along with my Christmas presents.

Re: 50+ December 2007 Thread (Active.com)
Hello everyone. This kind of reminds me of the Star Trek episode where Captain Kirk goes through a time

warp, and Spock and Bones have to go through to find him. Well, you guys were here first, but I've finally

broken through. (I'm not sure why this is coming out double spaced, and if it will be corrected when I post it.)

Looks like our group has fragmented. Some of us are here, and some are over at that other site.

What to do, what to do?

Miserable wintery conditions here. Cold and windy, snow and ice on the roads. I keep trying to remind myself

that it builds character.
