Not a problem Addy. Enjoy your summer break! Probably by the time you get back I'll practically be standing still running, but hopefully we'll do some group runs next year and we can meet for a run then.

But hey, K, there's no rule that says that you couldn't join us post run in the mean time, is there? We could all fawn over you and pat your little belly

Tom, do you run the Spirit run? Might that be a potential event for our group?

Yep, I run the race every year on Father's Day (June 18 this year). Its on the arroyo trail I run all the time and starts/ends on Main Street downtown. Its a nice race. We could try for Vic's afterword for breakfast (fastest runner might have to get in line to save a table).

Oh! Well, if there will be fawning involved, of course I'll join! Actually just a new breakfast joint is enough to get me out! Unfortunately I've been given "no running" orders for now - hopefully I'll get the thumbs up in a few weeks.

Hello, Im new over here, and have been looking for places to run. I was the anti jock in high school, but after I became and overachevier in college (hello freshman 30!) I somehow ended up joining the schools track and xc team. Now im home for the summer, and need to start finding places to run!

Ill be in Monterey over the summer, and would love some dirt trails -hills are fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Kristin
Don't know much about the Monterey area, but the Santa Cruz mountains just north of there has lots of trails. Here's a link that should have a popular trail map.

I'll be in Redding for a couple of days towards the end of this month. Can anyone recommend a good trail I should check out while I'm there?

Didn't notice this thread until hup made mention of it in another thread asking about the Presidio 5K.

Anyway, I've only been on CR for a few weeks, and have been running races only for about a year now (the Bay-To-Breakers in May was my 1st anniversary run) and am training now for the SF Marathon end of July, which would be my first.

I live in the North Bay but work in the city, so it is a bit of a challenge to get in those mid-week longer runs, but I've managed okay so far.

Judging from the thread, it looks like a lot of you have your days as packed as I mine In any case, just wanted to say hello and who knows, maybe one of these days we'll catch each other out on the roads there.

I'll let you know how it goes. I'm out of shape and carrying an extra 10#. But, I bought new pink shorts today so that can't hurt.
