Don Zetnick
1931 - 2005
Don Zetnick, 74, a self-employed entrepreneur, passed away peacefully from cancer Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at home, surrounded by family and friends.

In 1967, as a form of exercise, he started jogging. Running became such a passion for him that within three years, he ran his first marathon in Boston. A few years after moving to Texas, he and Sally opened The Runner in 1978, a store supporting the sport, and the same year started the first Arlington Winter Run. Don was involved in the Arlington Runners Club, the Fort Worth Runners Club, the Cross Country Club of Dallas, the Arlington Rotary Club and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. His racing continued also doing duathlons and triathlons. His son, Philip, took ownership of The Runner in 1997, while retaining Don and Sally as consultants.

RIP Don....everybody loved you.....

He sold me my first pair of running shoes when I was in junior high about 12 or 13 years ago. Thanks for everything. Keep up the great work out there Phil.
