Re: Paris, ON Runners Forum
ok, i see i need to reply. Ran Grimsby yesterday - trust me on this one Scouter........you'll be glad you missed. The last 7k was pretty rough with high winds and freezing weather. I didn't do very well......but felt like i was working pretty hard. Came 4 in my age group out of 17, so that helps a bit. Charlie and Wendy P. and Stacey all placed 3rd in their age group, so that was exciting, especially for Stacey as this was her very first race. I felt pretty rough all day, felt like i had run a marathon, not a half. I was a minute faster than last year. Yippee!!(I'm being sarcastic). Being a minute faster was not worth the pain of runing that tho. Denise ran with Michelle F and she said Michelle was swearing........ .
The weather is so bad here with the wind chill and bad visibility, i am cancelling tonights run, along with the first night for a new beginner clinic. Anybody that goes out in the kind of weather we are having now, has something seriously wrong with them.
Take care Scouter.......we miss you to. It would have been nice to suffer with you yesterday instead of all by myself (well, you wouldn't have run with me anyway......)

Re: Paris, ON Runners Forum
Hi Scouter, the weather on Sunday was great and as I had to work on Saturday I'm glad it was. Rained on Saturday. Yuck. Kelly Bailey and I met up at the Timmies on Paris Rd. and Dundas then ran out to Glem Morris. Ran down the Glen Morris Rd. East to Cheese Factory Rd. and took that into St. George. Nice run, and the view at the top of the ridgeline looking down into the valley is awesome. It made for a 27K run for me and as Kelly ran in from her house it was 36.6 for her. I'm sorry that the travel is wearing thin, I know what being away for extended periods is like and I sympathize. The best you can do is spend as much family time as possible when your home, and look on the bright side, the weather is improving here at home. Hope everything works out and hope to see you at Honours and Awards.
DYB, DYB, DYB.

Re: Paris, ON Runners Forum
Too bad we didn't know you were around, I'm sure Kelly would have loved to see you. It would have been great to run with you. I can't make it out Thursday but we will both be there Saturday morning. Kelly has to do 40 and I'm doing at least 22, maybe a bit more to keep her company. We decided that this years Bay race is a training run not a drag race. Next years, however, will be for time. Hope to see you on Saturday.

Where is everybody from Paris? Was there a rampant computer virus that missed me? Hello?!

Re: Paris, ON Runners Forum
But what? The challenge is full but the half and the full still have space in them, or is it a scheduling thing? The funny thing about me doing the Goofy is that my wife told me to sign up for it. Whats with that?!? She's the one that usually cringes everytime I mention a marathon. Maybe she just wants me to do it and get it out of my system. TTFN
