Did 10K this morning. Entertained running in shorts but opted for light tights, long sleeved shirt and a light vest.

Did break out my bike to head downtown Toronto to see Glory Road at the Paramount. Saw about half a dozen runners in shorts riding back uptown around 4pm.

Will probably do Chilly Half (race director says he has a special medal for the 10th anniversary of the race), ATB, but haven't picked a spring marathon yet.

Hey, come on guys, it was nine degrees. I wore shorts and a long-sleeved shirt for my 54 minutes with twenty minutes worth of strides.

Wow, it's windy out there. I ran 16k today with 10k at half marathon pace, but a combination of tired legs and the fierce wind made it slower than I figured. I did see Olivia Chow while running at Christie Pits.

No running this weekend, but we did hit the hills to do some downhill skiing yesterday. We went to Horseshoe Valley. The conditions weren't all that great - a bit to icy for me - and the wind was brutal, but we still had fun. There were no lineups at all, so we just kept skiing right up to the lifts. Both of my girls are doing great on skis. The older one is already better than me and it won't take the younger one very long before she is too!

Everyone's better than me at downhill skiing since I don't ski.

I wouldski, but I dontski, cuz skiings not my thinkski.

18 miles today out to sunnybrook, back and out to the washroom hut and back. Second loop outbound into the wind was a bit chilly, was glad to get the wind at my back again for the final push home. Sun sure was nice though.

The air evac copter flew directly over me when I was up there, I thought it was going to land right on my head as it passed.

I didn't run today; I was really tired from yesterday to do a true long run (2 hours) plus I had no time thanks to football and 24.

Strep, it sounds like they're going to pull no punches with this season (just like my spring racing season!), I'm very excited.

I thought they did it really well and have set themselves up for a threat of an immense magnitude. I haven't seen last night's episodes yet, so thank you for not mentioning any of that.

I also did my long run yesterday, 22k. I think I could've hit 25k and 2 hours without a lot of problems, I was feeling somewhat tired but not at all hungry.

Good one Patti!

Another wet, nasty day today. I'm cold just looking outside. How many more days to spring?

Many more, I'm sure.

I have no idea what I was doing today. I was going to do a tempo in the morning but I wasn't feeling too well, so I just ran 8k easy and went home. I went out again in the evening and ran 9k but I couldn't get into any sort of a rhythm, partly because I didn't feel too good and partly becuse the ground was very icy.

I moved yesterday's run to today, figuring things might still be icy yesterday morning and today was going to be a cracker. Just ran around my park a couple of times then ran over to the track at East York Collegiate for 25 easy laps (10k), then home. Something like 8.3 miles when I add it all up.
