It's like I didn't even write that post.

Anyway, back to what's really important: they are not pulling any punches on this season of 24. They packed a lot of whammies into tonight's 42 minutes.

Kingston on the 30th eh? It looks like the Tough *** is cancelled, and I'll be in Ottawa a week earlier than the half, so I'm looking at a 10k there on that weekend.

Kingston might work out actually. Thanks for the tip.

There's a slim chance I might race the 5km at that event.

I think we'll have to have it outside of downtown just to encourage as many folks as possible to come. The northwest corner of the city is closer and easier to get to for most others than Yonge and Richmond. I'm trying to entice the non-Torontonians to come out and play too. Don't worry, aurang, I'm sure we can find you a Starbucks in Vaughn or wherever we end up!

I was thinking of an evening get-together just for dinner and drinks, rather than trying to fit a run in. I think Dave and Busters has pool tables. That would be fun.

Nobody lives in Vaughn. The only two things there are the mall and Canada's Wonderland.

I've got a nasty sunburn today after spending all day Saturday taking down my aging apple tree. I shoulda worn a hat.

Alright, I can get a discount there. We could dine on Clif Bars.

Dave and Busters sounds near perfect.

Maybe we should meet up in Calgary first...to practise.

Ah, aurang, no kidding on 24 -watched last night but didn't want to say anything in case you (known 24 addict) or unknowns had not watched. All my favourites are disappearing.........and I want to slap Kim! My son is watching the 1st season on DVD - its funny to see the changes.[/qupte]If they're about to use their entire stash on this one double-top-secret location, what's the rest of the season going to be about? Averting war with Russia? This season has been a lot like seasons 2 and 3 combined.

quoteI'm in for a get together - 400 and 7 is easy to get to from here. Maybe we should notify the Paris group?<HR>
I don't think the streetcar runs that far north, but hopefully a GO-something goes there.

Two months is a lot of time. You'd be surprised at what you can do.

I ran 64 minutes through the Moore Park Ravine today. Anyone else go long?

29K through Earl Bales, York Cemetary, over to Windfields Park, Edward Gdns, Sunnybrook.

Aurang, how's Moore Park Ravine? Not too muddy?

It's muddy around the Brick Works, but it's pretty good.

I did the same route, scooted up Mt Pleasant Cemetary and a bit along the beltline. Glad I didn't go later in the day. Once the clouds moved in it was pretty cool out there, I had sun through my run.

Right now they're forecasting 3 and cloudy for the Bay next Sunday. If this cool trend insists on continuing then it better continue straight through Boston in 4 weeks.

Four weeks is a long time.

I ran a lot today, it was fun. I ran three "mile reps" (really 1700 m or so) at Queen's Park in the morning. They were slow, but not so slow for my first workout in a couple of months. I'd been doing a lot of quick running over that time, which I guess helped.

I also ran 4k to the store and back tonight to go for a walk with some, well, walkers, who had no one to "lead" their clinic. That was a very strange experience, I've never been so athletically-dressed to go for a leisurely stroll. I think that the Running Room's walking clinics are probably my favourite of all their clinics, it's the least pretentious and the most beneficial. There were some people who clearly were young enough to run, I have no idea why they were walking. I think a couple of women were hitting on me, until I had to open my mouth and say that I worked at the store instead of, oh, I don't know, McCarthy, McCarthy and Jackson.

I ran 19k today, though it obviously helps that I went for three separate runs. The second and third run were broken up by a 25-minute walk and a few minutes of stretching. Running is much more enjoyable, cheaper and probably quicker on average than the subway and streetcar.

Getting near cutoff to register for the ATB. Online reg ends tomorrow before noon, register in person up through Saturday. It's just a training run for me so no PR attempts this year. Anything around 2 1/2 hours will be just peachy. Weather forecasters haven't made up their minds about Sunday yet. Yesterday they showed showers, today variable clouds, tomorrow who knows. As long as we don't have the sleet that was blasting in our faces as we headed towards the lake like last year, then I'll be happy.
