Wow, JC, you sure do get some travel miles racked up, eh? It seems like you're on the road more often than you're home. That's pretty cool.

If you get someone to show you how to run, can you let me in on the secret? :P

40 minute run yesterday up and down hills in my neighborhood. I was going to ride today, but it's a bit chilly. I might run again and ride tomorrow if the forecast is going to be warmer for tomorrow.

I knew it was too much to expect decent weather for the Spring Run-Off. I'm grateful that the running's going great. I'm feeling so great that sometimes I run twice a day. The other day, I went for a 30-minute jog while my clothes were in the dryer. Today I ran a 8-6-4-2 fartlek with short rest.

If anydawnone wants to outsource their running to me, I'm taking offers.

Actually, I'm just going to practice channeling you so I can run slightly faster than a turtle in my next race.

A little warmer today, so I'm doing my ride today instead of yesterday. Hoping to do 2 hours as long as work stuff doesn't crop up this morning.

Yesterday I saw an elephant running in my pajamas. Why I was out running in my pajamas I'll never know.

I did my last significant training run this morning before Boston. Hauled myself out of bed for 9 1/2 miles at a light tempo pace. Yesterday it was 4x1600 at a track near work at lunchtime. Now it's all easy stuff until the 17th. Taper never really starts until about 10 days out.

Mississauga?

That's a lot of biking. I had 2.5 hours of class and it's taken me three hours to get out for 45 minutes of running.

Yep, I think I'll be doing Mississauga. I might try the "Fast Eddie warmup" for a race and do some miles on my bike in the morning. It just depends on how early I can get my butt out of bed!

Only managed to do 1:15 on the bike today. I rode for 45 minutes north into a head wind and then turned around. It only took 30 minutes coming south. I was flying. Fun, fun, fun.

Four...4...quatre...days in a ROW that I have "run".

It is slow and it is quite pathetic, but I have done it.

5 weeks tomorrow to the Mississauga Half...it was time to start training.
I needed to lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks in order to drop out of the BLIMP division...6 down, 9 to go.

I did 5 whole miles yesterday...didn't feel too bad at 1.8 mph

Today I did 2.5, but was smokin fast as it only took me 26 minutes. ...didn't even barf.

This is going to be an interesting 5 weeks

Today I had my wife and youngest daughter running with me. 5 and 4's are quite my style of running, but I'm always willing to accomodate... (ah, they've only just started, I was worse than that when I did).

Can someone please tell winter to go away?

It certainly was a great day. I did my masters swim this morning, then the kids and I did a bike ride on the boardwalk while DH did a run. The girls played a bit on the playground then we took a walk along Queen St. Later we went swimming since my youngest DD has been begging forever. So, I had a swim-bike-walk-swim kind of day. I love Sundays!

Okay, so I had a lousy race at the Spring Run-Off and jogged the second half of the race. That didn't stop me from finishing third in my age group in a pitiful time (to be winning anything) of 34 minutes (8k). They gave me a hat and a bottle of maple syrup. It seemed pretty high quality, I guess. I gave it away though, because I'd have to make pancakes in order to use it, and that's not a hassle I'm ready for.

Oh well, onwards and forwards. There are a lot of big races to be run, and I can only improve on my 89th place to start the season.
