2 runs yesterday, 6.3k in the morning, 10.5k in the eve (on turf while my daughter was at soccer practice). 6x800 this morning. Tomorrow, no need to get the kiddies to school cuz skoools our for summer! I'll try for 9ish miles. Got push push push if I'm doing the Docks.

I've been working pretty hard after the Night Crawler. I ran a 25-minute tempo Saturday, 8 x 850 metres on Monday and a 20-minute tempo tonight. I've got a 10k on Saturday.

What were the times like for the 800s?

3:10 each. After 2 runs the day before I didn't think I'd be able to squeeze out more than that, especially given the humidity that morning, so that's what I targetted.

I didn't get my 9 miles in this morning as I was 15 minutes late getting out the door, so I settled for 7 1/2. Easy tho, I needed the break. If nothing else I'm finally getting used to the heat, it's not kicking my butt as much as it was earlier this year.

I ran the Canada Day 10k on Saturday, finishing in 39:48 for 29th place. I was pretty tired, which explains why it was the slowest road 10k I have ever run.

The weekend was wicked for running, way too humid. I did anyway but it weren't too pleasant...as they say in lousy English.

Today sure was a contrast to the last few days. Actually a bit chilly as I was walking down to the park to start. I ran 10 short hill loops from the base of the valley to the top, only about a hundred meters available to get my breath back between them. The problem in the summer, the kids stay up late and I end up being up late with them, then hauling myself out of bed in the morning is a challenge.

Holy crackinoly it feels like winter here.

Just back from afew days on the beach on Treasure Island FL...fryin' down there.

Got some shin probs...hopin' it's nothing serious.

Been running very short...like a mile...at a quick pace and then walking it out and stretching and icing. Not sure if it's any better.

Time for a bump.

A much better Sunday morning weather wise for a run than last Sunday. About 23K down the Belt Line and Moore Park Ravine.

Afterwards nice big Veal Culet Sandwich for California Sandwiches, then World Cup watching time at home.

Planned to get back to it this morning after a few days off because of a sore shin, but I'm not sure I can face the dreadmill and the rain is too hard for me...as I am essentially made from sugar.
