Hi Boomers,

4 TM miles for me this morning. I spent most of my lunch hour trying to find this forum by going through Active. We're kind of "under the radar," it seems.

Many people are trying to find their logs. I tried to start one, but it seemed like I had to start an account first. Of course, it wouldn't let me do that because my name was already taken. By me, I think ... although at this point I'm not sure who I am anymore.;)

Thanks, Egret, for getting us started.

Wow, I like the option of either "Reply" or "Abuse".

Do we get to choose what type of abuse?

No running for me since last Wednesday. Lots of cross-shoveling, though - about 18" of snow in all here in Albania, and now it's drifting over.

Tomorrow should be less windy, and I'll try running then.

BTY

Well, I'm here... thanks WRFB!

Dark Horse, do you have to log in first? When I log in... I go right to the Active site and I don't like it (stamping foot hard).

Back from a crazy weekend... Friday's meeting with Seemomgo was so much fun. I'm so sorry Wild Child couldn't join us.. I got a picture but not sure how to post now, I'll have to work on that (also, no time right now to figure it out!). Also, Sunday's marathon went really well, it was great to see Soundrunner and Divechief again... Rain held off till just after I finished (just like Bellingham... hope that streak continues!). My time was 3:53:50, but no idea how that stacks up with everyone else. Very casual organization and recording of finishing times. These girls sitting on a picnic table would greet the finishing runner, take off their number tab, go over to the clock, look at it and write down their time. So... if that whole process takes them half a minute or so, that all gets added to your finishing time. The time when I crossed the line said 3:53:40, but they added 10 seconds to it when all was said and done. Oh well.

Home last night to -20 and a very cold pickup in the parking lot! This week is gonna be cold, so any running will be on the treadmill for me.

This thing is confusing! Two miles walking and then two miles riding the stationery bike....all in TEXAS!!! Be back home tomorrow evening! Back is feeling just fine...hip is still bruised from my shot last Tuesday!

How did Spareribs insert his post ahead of BTY's?

craig

oops, nevermind. i somehow set my display type to threaded, so replies to a post go with that post. guess i have some account work to do.

Well "threaded" as a choice does certainly sound superior to "flat". No one likes things "flat".

Well, this is definitely a learning experience and a good study in human nature.

Be that is it may, those reading this have made it here and like Dark Horse said, it is free. Thanks, by the way, DH for giving directions for getting here.

Without a doubt, there are going to be improvements and changes as they accomodate us all coming over.

I have moved my running log (which I saved before Cool Running ended) to Runningahead.com This looks to be very user friendly and they will download your saved Cool Running log. I just want some place to gather my running information and that certainly is more than adequate.

I am crusing on with 5.65 miles today on a beautiful cool almost winter day.

Sounds like Holly and NYrunner had fun......good for you. I can identify with you Holly in never having run with anyone. My little run with Erika in Vegas was my first and only attempt at doing something like that.

Sounds like you had a good run Erika. I laughed at the casual collection of your finishing time. What are they thinking? Glad you could take it so casually, because I am sure not everyone could. Hopefully everyone can stay in touch here with the use of emails and phone numbers. I had this brain storm today that someone of our group should start our own website for posting our chat.

Good running everyone. Keep showing patience while we see things improve.

With your encouragement and upbeat attitude, Vista, I am sure we will all muddle through and become the same friendly helpful community we were before this hiccup.

Keep us on track and coming up with your good ideas. We need you very much at this time. I salute you.

Like many others, I've had trouble finding this thread, so I posted elsewhere (jprobably lost in cyberspace somewhere). So, once again I'll say that Marj and I ran an icy 3.5 miles this morning. Altough cold, the sun felt good and it was good for our heads getting outside. I've got 19 miles left to hit 1300 for the year. Hope to make it before the next blizzard.

I have made it here two days in a row, so the degree of difficulty can't be all that high. 6.5 treadmill miles on a snow day (yay!), 30 minutes on a bike and weight training for upper body today.
