It sure is this week! I've been pretty lucky. Every day has been around the freezing mark but no colder. No snow on the ground, although they had a good storm a couple of weeks ago. One day it hit 10 degrees.

Two more days here and then back to BC.

Hi Everybody,

I'm alive (kind of). My stupid cold unfortunately didn't go totally away in time for the race. I posted in the Run & Race reports (warning: gross moments).

Thanks for all the best wishes and congrats.

Now I'm off to Galveston and Houston for a few days, then up to Dallas for another few days, before working by way back down to San Antonio and back home to Toronto next Sunday.

Don't forget to vote.

Eddie

Congratulations Eddie! You seem to be able to throw down 3:3x marathons like it's a stroll in the park!! Woo Hoo!!

Patti - sounds like you need to find a new doctor. Or, at least get her to refer you to a sports doc. There's no reason to just keep putting up with it. I'm sure a combination of massage, yoga and physio would help you.

I just got back from 2 days at Lake Placid. I went down to scout out the bike course for the Ironman. All I can say is WOW! That is one tough course. I did 1 loop on Saturday and my legs were completely toasted. Somehow I have to get in shape to do 2 loops, plus the swim and run. It really helped me to see the course to give me a bit more motivation to train properly this winter.

When I was there in September I could barely drive the course.

Have fun

Things are kind of quiet around here, so I thought I would post a picture of me in front of the Alamo.

Current in Dallas. Back to T.O. Sunday night.

I wouldn't know what a new mayor is like, I'm from Mississauga.

I was running today and saw a guy wearing tights and a baggy flannel shirt. That was strange.

No, their both dead so they 'stiffed' me.

Interesting enough I did see two Vegas era Elvis in the Veteran Day Parade on the Saturday before the race.

Just checking in again...

I think I picked the wrong sport for this area. Over the last week we got 196 cm of snow and 9 mm of rain. That's in addition to the 105 cm of snow we received in mid October. No wonder BC is famous for downhill skiing!

Nice pics, Ed!

Tigger...2 words...snow shoes.

I've been busy the last couple of weekends and have gotten no long runs in. I cut back a lot anyway to get a bit of a break in. I tend to keep pushing right into winter when I really should be forcing a bit of downtime. I did 8 miles at lunchtime yesterday in the sunshine, just shorts and t to enjoy the sun while it's out.

Hey everyone! What's up? I was out of town for the US turkey day holiday. I only managed 2 runs in 4 days, but that's better than usual when I'm away. Trying to get back to normal this week. My training has been going pretty good. Nothing like being scared to death of your next race to get you motivated to train!

Just returned from Hilton Head. I was there for a long weekend after celebrating Pilgrim Day in Atlanta.

Ran hills in Atlanta and flats in Hilton Head...but the amazing thing is that I ran...miraculous really.

Soon I'll be up to half a mile.
