1. Click on My Active in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Then click on My Account. Then on Change Avatar (on the left). You can either use one of Active's avatars or upload one of your own.

2. In your reply, click on the icon next to the smiley - the icon looks kinda like two ghosts "hugging."
