Re: Pensacola

So who is ready to race Sunday?  I will be working the water stop somewhere around mile 23 or 24.  I'll also be working at the Y Friday afternoon.
Good luck to all.

Re: Pensacola

Belated congratulations Chuck & Val.
I haven't been here all week. My husband had his heart surgery at University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, this week. We just got home last night. The surgery was a big success, but he is very weak and tired, and I think he is having side effects of all the medications he is taking. Hopefully he'll be feeling better in a couple days. He is supposed to walk every day, and he managed a slow 14 minutes on the treadmill this afternoon. He is convinced that being a runner in good condition helped him thru the surgery.
I'll check in with y'all ina couple days.  Happy Mardi Gras!

Re: Pensacola

thanks bevie

i am sooo glad to hear that your dh surgery was a success and he is doing soo well.. i am sure you let out a big ol sigh afterwards.. i am sure it is a big relief just having it done and over with and now with such great progress thats terrific..

not much running goin on here ...kind of letting my injury heal up ... kinda lost now that my goal is over and no running is driving me insane...but then i read your post and it puts it all in perspective.. so i can run for a couple weeks big deal...

i was noticing i don't have a 10k race...i have done 5k's , 15k's , halfs and one marathon but not one 10k...so i might be doing the fiesta.. .
