Hi all,

TC 1 Mile is tonight. I'm sitting at work now watching YouTube videos of mile races. Webb looks really good this year. Tonight will be a great race I can't wait.

Also I'll see some of you at Melpomene on sat.

Stay hydrated and learn to love the heat. : )

Kat, I'll be running the 8k at Grand Ol' Days. I like that my first 8k will be an out and back.

ryguy,

There are a bunch of them. Look on Active or RaceberryJam for a list. I will be running the 8k at Grand Old Days on June 3 and I may be running the 5k in Albertville on June 9. Maybe I will see you at one of those races.

Hey everyone. This is my first post. I'm in Minneapolis right by Theodore Wirth Park. Just got my registration in for the TCM. I like to run the lakes too but haven't had the opportunity recently. I'm always down to go out running with others, give me a holler if you're interested.

Wow, its great to see some of you will be at Grand Old Days for one of the races! I was hesitant, but I finally signed up so I'll be there doing the 5k. I'm more nervous than excited at this point.

Good luck to you guys! I hope you do well in the race!

I'll be in Minneapolis on business this weekend, staying at the Marriott (30 South 7th Street). Their web site says that there is a "jogging/fitness trail" nearby. Does anyone know what this refers to? In the past I've stayed on Niccollet Avenue, which is close by, and I don't remember anything but buildings and concrete, and I hate running on busy streets with a lot of pedestrians. I Need someplace I can get about 4.5 miles in. If anyone knows where this trail is or a good route nearby where I can get about 4 miles in I'd appreciate it. Something near the river would be nice. Here's the location on Google Maps.

Thanks for any help!

Really can't do much with the downtown part, Just try to enjoy our urban jungle. Once you hit the river you will love it.

If you do have a car you can just drive to the river. There are places to park. The paths go on longer than you can run so you could just head out and turn around after 2.5 miles.

Have fun

That route is perfect! I was looking at something like that I found on the USATF site and your route is a bit longer. Plus, I'll be going around 5:30 AM so I guess traffic's not a big deal. Thanks!

Hey Ry, I'm running the 10k in Deephaven tomorrow. Any ideas on the course? I'm on the other side of the cities, so I don't really know much about the Minnetonka area.

Ry, how'd you do? I was shooting for 45, and came up 19 seconds slow. I have to thank the guy I ran the last 2/3rds of the race with, he pulled me along.
What did you think of the course?
