Running log and paying for the shoe tracker

I didn't use the log on CR, so I'm not up with the changes to the one here. But plenty of the rest of you do, and there was a lot of discontent in the Transition forum about the shoe logger only being available if you paid - so much so that in this thread someone called Active Chris informed us that there had been a change of mind, and that it would be available for free after all.

I've seen mention elsewhere of people not being able to get it for free - those of you that have looked at it (I don't even know where to find it), is this true?

If it is, a stink needs to be kicked up.

Heck, I'm still getting used to this new fangled posting system. But thanks for the info.

I've found a free shoe tracker here, though it's not especially convenient to use.

Lontach, that is you, isn't it?

no need to kick stink.

The shoe tracker is there, gratis, and here's how you find it:

go to www.active.com/activetrainer. Find your training log (assuming you have one, and you've taken whatever steps are necessary to find your old data in there). In the little menu-bar-like thing at the top, click Tools. In the sidebar on the left will be a link that says Shoe Tracker. Click it. Voila.

Wow! It's like someone threw a firecracker in the nest of Cool Running hornets. Everyone is PO'd and swarming around trying to get some order back to the nest.

I found my log and started the process of transfering the data but it looks like it is working but it's gonna take some time. I also found the shoe tracker and it is free but unlike the CR log it doesn't appear to be directly tied to the log :(. On a brighter note, it does appear that there are people listening so I'm sure that the situation will improve with time. I intend to wait it out.

Good to see you here as well. Hopefully others will migrate in as they figure out how to navigate the new system and see some familiar names. How did you get your user name capitalized? I have the same issue.

Re: Running log and paying for the shoe tracker

Hey Trish:
Can I use the coolrunning.com running log without a charge? Or are you going to pay me to use Active Trainer?
