Re: Macon Area Running

All,

I am still looking for a fourth runner to complete the marathon relay team I put together. There are 4 legs in the race....a 5.7, 6.2, 6.7, and 8.5..........give or take a couple tenths. We are hoping to find someone who can give us a sub 40 minute 10k time. JOSH if you are still interested then shoot me an email or post a comment.

I have sponsorship money for the event so the trip will cost next to nothing. The registration cost is covered (180.00), we will have a team shirt and that is covered, hotel costs might end up costing a little bit per person, but I am supposed to be getting some money from another source as well so that might be covered completely along with some of the food and gas costs as well.

The businesses sponsoring us are looking to get some attention from this as well so I am hoping to put together a winning team for the event. So far the three runners I have lined up are pretty quick and with one more piece we good be a serious contender.

ALAN, JOSH, PERRY......anyone out there who has some serious speed that wants to be a part of the team let me know. The three runners already participating are all around 25 years old. Travel arrangements have been made as well as hotel reservations.

The event is the Air Force Marathon Relay at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. It is on September 15th and most likely we will travel up on the thursday before and leave on the sunday after. Let me know ASAP.

Spencer

Re: Macon Area Running

This thing has fallen off the charts so I thought it should be touched.

Anyone running races recently?

I'm running Jim Herrin and then Labor Day. The training is tough now with the heat though.

On a side note. Has anyone run soon after giving blood? I gave the double red cell type yesterday and was completely wiped out this morning. Couldn't even finish my 7 mile run.

Re: Macon Area Running

Hello, Macon Area Runners!  In conjunction with the new Macon Tracks website, I've got a new forum up and running. This way we can have our own boards instead of having to use the coolrunning site forum.  I need everyone's help to get it going.  You all are the few who post here, so I know you're dedicated!  If you could take a few minutes to register and write a post on one of the categories, I'd really appreciate it.  You can get there by clicking the "Forum" button on the www.macontracks.org[/URL" target="_blank"> website, or go directly there at www.macontracks.org/forum.[/URL" target="_blank"> Let me know if you have suggestions or problems accessing the site. See you there!
