KJ: I'll never be as fast as you ... let me know when you've recovered and I'm ready for Jarry Park again.

Last call for Hurley's (cause I need to reserve):

Confirmed: KJ, Roly, Merc, Truxx, Me, Df ... that makes 6 ... who else?

Hey Montrealers

Since many of you provided much advice to me leading up to today's Nike Half Marathon on the course, etc... I just wanted to say thank you. Even though it was ugly weather, I still had a great time and might come back next year.

This is one fast race with many fine competitors. I ran 1.23.54

Back in Ottawa now getting ready for the NCM Marathon. Thanks again

Hello fellow Coolrunners,
Back from the 21km-mtl(wet)run, totally soaked. I saw DR before the race and Omni passing me at the beginning of the race (who looked very strong btw). So I thought, I should say hello to all of you, sorry for the lack of news, I was out of town most of the winter.

As I didn't have alot of volume, this race was a fun run (a test run after very light training), even if it was raining like **** (I prefer this than the heat). So I was 10 minutes slower than last year, but I'm happy with the race anyway 'cause my goal was to check if I can run a half in 5:00 per km, and I had a strong finish (lost at least 1 min due to a pit stop).

Anyway, congrats to other coolrunners who did great times, KJ, DR, Omni, TB (did I miss anyone?).

I'll check more often how all of you are doing. I guess you still have those Sunday run at Mt. Royal.

Cheers

Indeed it was a very very wet day... I can still feel the dampness in my bones as I type this and all I can think of is getting under my covers and staying there till ... 4am!

So I have to admit, after all this talk of waffles and syrup, I did not have any, there was such a line up that I opted to stay warm and hungry than hypothermic and hyperglycemic. But great job on the syrup!! And boy did they smell wonderful...

There were a few special guests at the race (the 5k anyway) including Bruny Surin and Emilie Mondor as well as Amélie Goulet-Nadon (National Team member, Short Track Speedskating) who finished 3rd overall.

I think I actually spent more energy trying to stay warm during the 4 hours I was there than during the 5k!

I'd like to officially thank all the volunteers (every one of them) and friends of runners who came out to spend a weather-wise-miserable day out in the rain helping out for the event.

Good job to all Montreal CR`s who came out today and thanks to the rest of you for all your support and encouragement!

Omni: PB by 35s and you beat Jacqueline Gareau ! You have no respect, man... but you have mine. Congratulation.

TurtleB: Improved your 05 time by over 7m ! You rule.

Knee: Courageous run under tough condition and lack of training.

Roly + Gro: I had a look at the Jay thread. Pain.

Tonight Hurley's 7pm. You know the drill. Reservation under "Montreal Coolrunners". Be there or be square.

TB, RG, Chops, Omni ... who else has not RSVP'd?

Sally

I did both ... ran to the pool, swam 2000m non-stop, then ran back home - about 11k run in all. Boy, with the rain and the pool ... I'm WET!

Ahem ... Merc ... yes, you know what I will say ...
