Gainesville, GA

I'm moving to Gainesville, GA in about a month. We'll be living on Dawsonville Hwy, by the lake. Does anyone know good places to run in/near Gainesville?

Thanks!

Re: Gainesville, GA
I run in Gainesville a lot, because my girlfriend lives up there. There are a lot of nice neighborhoods to run through around Lake Lanier. We sometimes park our car at a boat ramp on Sardis Rd and run up through a neighborhood she calls the country club from there. It's a lot of rolling hills along the lake with lots of trees and nice lake views. I'll see if I can get you some directions if you like. Dawsonville hwy is hwy 52, right?

There are a couple of races coming up in that area. In Dahlonega theres a Mountain Ranger trail run (5K or 15K) on May 13. On May 20, there's the Hose Hump 5K, put on by the Hall County Fire Dept in Gainesville. I don't really think you'll have any problems finding a place to run!
