Anyone around Wilkes-Barre PA?

I'm from Larksville a small city next to Wilkes-barre. Just wondering if anyone here is from around this area.

Hey Bcarvings

I used to live in Wilkes Barre but I live in NJ now, about an hour away. I may be in that area this Sunday though to run the Montage Mountain Challenge. Still have to talk myself into it though; I ran it last year and it hurt more then running a marathon!

Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and your feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed.

Hi bcarvings!

I don't live in the valley anymore either, but it was pretty cool looking over the forums topics and seeing "Wilkes-Barre" there. Almost as cool as seeing WB in the national headlines as the top story during your recent evacuation (you probably didn't have to evac living in Larksville). I still visit the WNEP website from time to time to watch Tom Williams give the news stories. Grew up in Luzerne but now I hail from the desert - Arizona. I'm also curious about the "where do you run?" question. We are pretty much flat out this way ... and very , very hot - but not the same kind of heat as PA.

Hope you find some runners. Eat some halushki for me - we don't have anything like that out this way --- Tammy

Yeah, I guess you do live in the "flatter" part of Larksville! I always think of the back side of Larksville - "the back road to Plymouth" ... whatever that road is really called! I never had anything to do with running when I was there, but I remember having a terrible time riding my bike up some of those hills in Luzerne! Have to ask ... did you go to WVW? I did ... I think it was about 100 years ago though! Have a great day and Happy Running! --- Tammy
