Trails in Florida

I live in the Central Florida area ( just north of Volusia county), and I prefer trail running as opposed to road running (though I'm happy doing ether). I was wopndering if there's any good, safe trails for a solo runner? By safe I mean, more public, and less isolated.

As a female, I'd feel safer running where I know people are nearby, and not so much so just heading off into an isolated wooded area where a psychopath can see me, follow me and attack me. I do have a great place within 10 min from my house, its great for hiking, running and mountain biking... but I would never dare go in there alone. The other place I've been running is getting repetitive and stuff, and I'd like some more variety.

Any parks, state parks, or preserves that any of you know of?

thanks!
