Alright, we've got me, TB, Merc, RG, Uncle Sam and my friend GB coming tomorrow to Hurley's, with our medals. We will be the NYC gang, 'cept for GB and Uncle Sam who haven't run a marathon yet ... yet... hehehe ...

Roly: Have you tried the Garmin on your spinning bike yet? Don't forget to strap it onto your foot.

Anyone feel like doing Da Hills this Thursday? Meet at Villa-Maria metro at 6pm. Hands up please!

Sally

Hi everyone...

You know what they say : try, try, try again and again and again. Still jammed on week 4 of the couch to run program. This time, I manage a 3+5+3+2.5 (compared to 3+5+3+2)... Improving ! I'm already waiting for the next try ! (finally decide to scotch on week four until I manage it).

To answer the last question, I discover the site while I was looking for training-running program for dummies like me. Thanks for your encouragements all.

A bientôt

Manue

Good going Manue! That's a lot of hard work you've done and we're here to support you. We hope to see you at Hurley's tomorrow night to meet you. 1225 Crescent, just below Ste-Catherine St. Don't be shy - I got to share a pint with the gang before I ever got to run with them!

Also, though we mostly write in English because this board is international, soyez à l'aise d'écrire en Français parce que nous sommes bilingues.

Sally, It's a spin bike, there's an attachment to hook it up to the handle bar.

Mars: How's the marathon training coming along? We've heard from JB, how about you? What distance are you up to now for the long run? Ooooh, I am sooo excited for both of you! Too bad I couldn't run it just for another shiny medal

Marathon training... ah! ah! ah! ah! You're funny!

Long run... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Please stop! You're hurting me!

One weekend off since Labor Day. Today, I'll be in at work at 7:30 AM and leaving between 10:00 and 10:30 PM. A typical day for me. I'm still short 6 staff, and the clock is ticking on the project. Welcome to the world of half-billion-dollar start-ups.

It is a lot of fun, and the best job I've ever had. But I'm having the hardest time getting out for more than the occasional lunch time run.

I'll be running with JB... I just don't know what distance. I may HM, bandit the last 10 K with him, or work my way up to a 15-miler if I get a couple of weekend runs and then do the whole marathon. But in any case JB won't be alone out there. I'm just not sure what it'll be for me.

Thanks for asking, though

Mars

That's alright, I've been there too ... just run with a flag - you'll fly! I'm sure you will have a blast and I wouldn't be surprised if you pushed yourself to finish the full, just like I did.

Hurley's tonight: Don't forget your medals! I want a pic for my blog!

Thanks to RG, JB, Geoff, and Mercury for making it out to Hurley's tonight ... great fun as usual. What was all that talk about running and races tonight - sheesh! Ha ha! And yes, it's true, I'm going to convince Geoff to do an Ironman with me in 2008 ...

First the NYC marathon again with Mr. Peanut ...

SS does Mr. Peanut have to break out of his shell everytime he needs to use the port-a-potty.

Ran in the misty rain this morning 8.1 k. feeling good.

I can't make it Thurrsday's.

Alright, if I hear no takers for Da Hills on Thursday by midnight tonight, I will take it that no one is interested and won't be going either - no fun to run alone anymore - I've become a wimp.

Where is Mars when we need him? Where did the flock go?

Sally

p.s. Thanks RG for the great desserts last night ...

But I think you're talking through the woods kind of hills in the dark, right?
