Illinois Runners

Hey, folks. I have had a couple of months off while nursing a broken toe. I went back too soon and it got worse. I'm just now getting back since resting since July. It's been a frustration, but I'm lucky to have had minimal injuries. This one was stupid because I jammed it against one of my kids' beds in the dark...doooh!

Anyway, it's nice to be back on the Prairie Path and the weather is still halfway decent. Good luck to all the fall marathoners. I'm definitely out of the running for a marathon anytime soon. Looking towards the spring, though.

Good running to everyone. Amanda, if you're out there, I saw you on the Path the other day and you were looking pretty good. Are you doing Chicago?

Take care.

Sorry to hear about your injury!! OUCH!!

I know somewhat how you feel, I was sidelined about 6 weeks with a calf injury. Frustation is an under statement.

Hope you are feeling better.

I plan on running Chicago again this year, but on minimal training.

Hi everybody! Comet, hope your toe is doing better-running this year is so great. Good luck to all the fall marathon participants-I'm hoping to head down there to cheer everyone on.

Any of you going to be in Macomb on the 14th? It is Homecoming at Western and they have a 5K on Saturday. It will be my first time in a very long time for Homecoming.
