N0 running yesterday but got in 35 km on the spin bike, about an hour.

I may try to get in a run on the mountain today at 3:00pm (Off work this week, Spring Break) Since the kids will be at the movies, If it warms up.

I think those changes are just another race member trying to hype their race to get people to sign up. We will see once the race day is over.

OH MY GOD.

Grommit, Sorry for getting you into this it's now a 24 hour time limit to finish all 6 peaks. 3 peaks in 14 hours. Lord Help me. They would change the rules a few days after we're registered. Oh well lets see how far I can go.

Welcome back Gro. Why am I not surprised that your all gung ho about the new course description.

I guess this will be my punishment for missing Jay.

Got in about 6 miles in the snowy trails near home. Didn't feel like messing with traffic when I have some nice trails five minutes away. I'll be running them again tomorrow and on Saturday afternoon if anyone cares to join me.

BTW good to see Df7 getting in a nice long run. Go Fly, Go Fly, Go Fly

Thanks Roly, put in a faster 5 tonight, of course, all things being relative, this would still be a snail/slug pace for some of the folks here.... just to see how ole honeycakes would hold up... folllowed by some slow paddling in the pooool...MY QUADS ARE KILLING ME AND I'M STARVED, hah ! BUT no major creaking and groaning...oh joy, oh joy...

Okay, have had enough of this winter thing already...though kinda nice out there right now... gotta eat gotta eat gotta eat...

Gag: Count me in for one. I'm downtown all the time. Allow me buy you a drink at Hurley's and we can discuss the race strategy as I head into April: 5 minute km vs 8 minute mile a treatise. As for timing after 7pm is best for me I was thinking that it would come in handy to keep my breakfast cool on race day. Storing food in the washroom sink under buckets of ice isn't ideal

Regards,

TB

Finally starting to feel optimistic about Boston. Had a good TM workout today which saw me do a 25 minute "tempo" @ 6:20 / mile pace and it felt relatively easy. The last 5 minutes were cranked up to 9.9 mph or 6:10 / mile pace. All the while-and more importantly-was that the heart rate maxed out at 170. My estimated MHR is 185 so that leaves plenty of room for going faster. I am finally feeling some relief.

Still having mucho neuroma & hamstring discomfort but at least it's not slowing me down. Now a marathon is a whole other story, right Gro / Gomez?

Many thanks to DF, RG and Merc for the fun evening. Despite the loud jazz band we were still able to enjoy the conversation. All the best to our goals for the year. It's really nice to kick back and relax every now and then following training. RG, thanks for the ice packs. Let's hope they will only be applied to keep food chilled.

Time to turn in

Had alot of fun tonight, can't recall the last time I laughed so much, it was needed.

Gag - you're always full of surprises, Nicaragua (sp.) last week, Ottawa for a 4th time, and that crazy a$$ french marathon you were telling us about, post the site.

TB-

Mercury - how great to see you, you know I didn't mean it about your training and racing, well, maybe a bit Here is the site we told you about :
http://www.rtbrelay.com/index.shtml[/URL" target="_blank">

Gro - hope you enjoyed your paaaarty...Mercury is now up to speed about July - thought something about a TENT - I don't think so, I'm getting a tad old for that...

And as you couldn't make it, Merc figures we'll be getting an invite soon for some delicious Thai food...seeing as you like to mess around a kitchen.

Now to figure out what to do with the longer arm..from carrying all that ice

G'night - 'fly
