Merci, Merc. Good Luck today.

Now can someone unplug that damn snow making machine it's enough. I want to start running in mud, with the fresh smell of melting dog poo in the air. Ah Spring.

Re: Montreal "cooler in winter" Runners

Thanks to my personal cheering section of Df7, Mitch and the rest of the crew for their strong support on this breezy, cool day. I guess an unspectacular 39:00min - 10K got me the place I deserve, namely 4th place in my class.....boo hoo. Anything in the 38:30's would have been saisfying as a first race of the year, but breathing problems (forgot my pump) had me gasping at 5K. Hit my target of 19:00 minutes at 5K, but realized I couldn't maintain that, so made a pace adjustment of 10 additional seconds/ kilometer,  for the last half. It didn't quite work out that way. Turned out to be more than that......oh well. When it warms up a bit, add a few more miles, roll up the sleeves & get to work time! Thanks again everyone.

How is Ninja doing in Niagara? Anyone following?

Genou - toujours aussi jolie, missed you and your bud afterwards..

Mercury - nice to meet your friends, can you tell Pat I made it back by - get this - running for the bus - a minute to spare - wolfed down some leftovers and now we are working on the school project.

Gotta go - glue gun awaits -  enjoy the remainder of the sunny day.

Re: Montreal "cooler in winter" Runners

Hello everyone,

Congratulations Merc! You did so well again. It was nice to be able to catch a hug from you.

Df, I'm sorry, I had to rush home immediately after the race! It was great seeing you but too short! I did'nt have time to tell you all about the last chapter... We have to do a Hurley's very soon -Sallyyyy!

I'm sorry to have missed the O's and the JB clan.

My friend Norm had an amazing 43-something for his very first 10k. very promising...

I did my average time... I felt heavy and slugish during the 1st half but things went a bit better at toward the end and I think I could do better next time.

I want more spring please.

Danny Kassap came in 2nd in Hamilton... 3:10 pace

Where is TB???

Hope everyone had fun in Lasalle and Hamilton, I was a tad dissappointed when I woke to find that it wasn't going to be anywhere near 16 degrees C that Ed Cowell (spelling) had promised us, Ed and I will need to have a little chat about that...

Hahaha! DR, I hear you : I took meteomedia.com off my 'favorites' this weekend and am now using the Canoe weather report because meteomedia always promises warmer weather than reality

Re: Montreal "cooler in winter" Runners

Hello once again,

It was great to see some folks yesterday! Merc, DF (thanks for hanging out with Cordelia for a moment for me to get a picture of the other two!), and the whole Omni clan!

I did get a few pictures of some runners, that I have posted in our mtlcoolrunners yahoo page.  Let me know if you need the link.

Re: Montreal "cooler in winter" Runners

Can't seem to access the CR's Group on the web. Can't get beyond the sign-in. I continually get the confirmation email which I click on, but keep getting back to the same place. I give up.....feels like groundhog day! Hope the pics were nice. I'll rely on you all to describe them to me / us.
