Hey Dawn, there is one in Oakville on Labour Day - maybe that's too early, but, if so, it would be a great training run! It should be very pretty as it goes along Lakeshore Rd past all the rich peoples homes, and thru some other very pretty neighbourhoods. I am planning to do it as its a short run week for me and I need to support my town! Here's the link:

Tempo run with the group tonight - 7.2 km at @ 5:15 pace. It felt fine but it was very humid!!

Thanks Patti - I'll keep it in mind, although we're often away on Labor Day weekend.

Off for a vacation to Cape Breton starting tonight! Have a good week everyone!!

I didn't think it was all that hot, but the sweat was pouring off of me, so I guess it was. I ran the same workout (8k tempo).

Thought I better post before we fell off Page 1.

I'm back from Tennessee and have actually started to run again. I'm about 14 pounds over what I can reasonably run at so I better put the beers and burgers away and concentrate on eating healthy as I begin to build up miles again.

Back from Nova Scotia - we had a great time. Spent most of our time in CBI with family. Spent Sunday in Halifax. I love that city! Had unusually hot weather the whole time. Didn't wear any of the pants or sweatshirts that I brought. I swam a few times while I was there, but no running or anything like that. It's been 2 weeks since my race, so I guess I'll get back running soon.

You are quite the conversationalist JC

Spent the long weekend in Southampton. My long run was 24k which I did by running from SOuthampton to Port Elgin and back, a good part of it along the lake, the rest looking at the beautiful homes developing in the area. It amazing how the scenery makes the run seem easier! I wish I could run that every weekend. 11k today as a wuss on my treadmill. Hills tomorrow with the group - hopefully its cooler!

Went for my first run post-Lake Placid on Saturday. Felt kind of cr*ppy, but I think it will just take some time to get back in the game. Full workout schedule starts this week (I hope).

Yesterday, DH and I went for a mountain bike ride at Albion Hills. What a blast! We were riding in some rain, but it wasn't too bad. Really fun trails and we were covered in mud after!!

Hey Everybody,

Looks like just about everybody back into the game.

I will be a Pace Fairy at 2:45 again for the Midsummer Night's 30K this Saturday. Might have a new tutu to wear this year. You will have to pay me big bucks if you want me to post a picture.

Hey, Eddie, would you settle for a beer and some fashion advice?

Another lovely long run, 27k, on Saturday along the Mississauga Waterfront trail with my fast friend who is taking the summer off, therefore willing to run at my pace.
Followed that by hitting the Oakville Jazz festival Sat night, then the Taste of the Danforth Sunday afternoon, which was disappointing because of the rain. 13K faster pace run today(5:30k). Struggling a bit with motivation.

Patti
