Tahoe running?

looks like I may be visiting Lake Tahoe around the July 4th holiday, coming from Oregon (staying in Zephyr Cove). What are some good running routes to experience while I'm there?

The best scenic running in the US. I used to live there. Go to the west shore, just on the other side (south) of Tahoe City and run along the shore. There are also some great trails and meadows. It's been 25 years so I don't remember all those details. I once ran in the "where in the **** is Truckee" race. Run goes along trails and logging roads, thru the mountains from Tahoe City to Truckee for about 16 miles. Stop in to Rosie's in Tahoe City for some of the best food and drinks around. Say hi to Dennis the bartender. Tell him that Rob from the old Roundhouse Oyster Grill said hello.

I did some great trail running in that area last fall.
Mainly on the Tahoe Rim Trail. It is challenging and
very beautiful. I also ran the Jones Creek/Whites Creek Trail
which I enjoyed very much.

Check out the website for the local running club ...
They have some pretty good recommendations as far as trails.
Go to the web site for the ' Tahoe Mountain Milers & Sagebrush Stompers ' then click on the section for
Lake Tahoe/Carson City Favorite Run Locations .

Let me know if you would like any additional information
on the specific trails that i did.
