Any South Dakota Runners?

Hi Everyone: I have just started the C25k program just ran my W2D3 and wanted to see if any others on this site are from SD? I'm a 42 yr old woman who grew up in Rapid City and now live in SouthEastern SD. Would be great to know others in our state are doing the same thing.

I was a former South Dakota runner. I lived in Vermillion, SD for 6 years, but have moved south-east to Iowa from there. I hope you find some other Dakotans.

Hey there! Looks like we crossed paths. I'm 44, originally from NW Iowa and moved to Rapid City in '93. I'm training for the Brookings Marathon on May 12, and Deadwood Marathon in June. I ran a trail race at Newton Hills S.P. near Canton a few years ago. Are they still having that race? It was a great run. Are you planning on any races over on this end of the state? The Deadwood race is a must-do. The Mickleson Trail is so beautiful.

Hey to the fellow South Dakotans!

I don't think there are too many of us that utilize this site, but some of us still lurk around.

I live and work in the Mitchell area and have been running off and on for a long time. Have been more serious about it the last 5 years or so.

I too am running the Mickelson Trail Half again this year. What a great run! Last year was my first time and I vowed I would keep coming back!

Brookings was on my list but by daughter graduates high school that day, so I had to X it out! So Mickelson in June, Sioux Falls Half in September and hopefully the Twin Cities Marathon in October.

Have a great day all and may that South Dakota wind always be at your back!

Paul

I'm from the Mitchell area, and ran W2D1 this morning. I am repeating Week 2 as I didn't really feel like I was ready to move on.

Hi, Dreaming, I'm an East River runner, too. Like Bowulf, I used to live in the Vermillion area, but decided to attend State instead.

Trixie: How did the Brx Marathon go? I was out of town, so I didn't even get to watch.

I'm nowhere near marathon level, but I plan to run the Beef and Eggs (Brookings) in July. Anyone doing the Lewis and Clark Challenge (Yankton) in June?
