Re: Houston Runners

I want 60s weather.  I am in Houston.  We briefly got at about 68 on Sunday morning.  It was wonderful.  I sat outside and had coffee with a book.

Re: Houston Runners

Any 4:30's out there? I'll be coming from St. Louis for the race. Never been to Houston so I'm looking forward to this for a couple reasons. Will probably be joining the 4:30 pace group. PM me if you'll be there.

Re: Houston Runners

Hey Laurel.  I am running the half relay this Sunday as well as Seabrook and the Houston Half in Jan.  I live in Clear Lake.  You are in Pearland I assume.  I just started running in May so this cold is new to me.  I don't like cold, BUT had the best run ever last night.  I got in 6 miles.  What are you going to be running???

Re: Houston Runners

Hey Peggy!

Yes, I'm in Pearland. I've never run a distance race beyond 5Ks and the 5 mile Sugar Land Turkey Trot - I'll be running that one again this year! It's a nice run, if you've not done this one, I recommend checking it out if you're in town for the holiday. I wanted to run the Houston 1/2 marathon, but didn't sign up prior to early Sept. when it "sold out!" I'm considering the Seabrook 1/2 marathon in March as an alternative - not too sure since it's on the trails - need to go check them out first - for some odd reason, I feel a bit insecure footing-wise on trails rather than on the road - maybe it's different than other trails I've run on (just local neighborhood "trails"). Do you have any experience with the Seabrook trails??

How's life in Clear Lake? Glad to hear from you - stay in touch!

Laurel - you are welcome to email me at suttonfamily312@sbcglobal.net

I love the trails.  I don't think it is safe for a female to run by yourself but very nice.  I prefer trails as opposed to road.  There is just something about running through the woods.  haha.
