........ you're on your way to a brick!...... ask Roly!

Roly..... I ran with Dave Goggins for about 5 mins.... chatted, he's a really nice guy (I have trouble with his choice of profession .... but he runs ultras so he must be OK)...... I guess this would be the equivalent of jogging with a Kenyan.... in the marathon world

.... any lurkers/newbies..... pleeeeze don't think that the CRMontreal folk are all freaks like me/murkury/sally/ninjakaturtle/mollassesakaroly.....

.... if I was new at this.... I'd stay well away from this forum..... but you should jump right in ..... we need some new faces.... although I love all the all the old ones...... even the ones that dropped offfffffff

no run today.... just a little swim

grommit

the experiment is almost on top of me

LA: congrats and keep up the good work, only how many weeks left to go? (that's what I ask myself when I am "marathon training"

Df: Positive vibes, darling, just for you ...

DR: You'd leave me behind in that murky water, wouldn't you? No Hurley's until early Aug. I'll be on vacation soon until the end of the month with the kiddies ... will propose something soon, but most likely Tuesday, Aug. 7, 7:30pm Folks ... would that work for you all? If not, DR and I are going alone ... we want hamburger steak.

Sally

SS: yes, we will go alone but I dunno if I can wait that long...

On a less brighter note, Gastro is in the air... load up on veggies and vitamin C!!!! Haven't been hit but it is in my surroundings...

Buy a bag of brocoli! And get some extra sleep!

Broccoli: check

Sleep: um ...

It's friggin hot and humid outside. My 30 min. run almost killed me. Beware: STIFLING. Even my asthma feels it.

Roly: How the heck do you get up that early?

Sally

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Hey Gro. If you are out there, send me an email (again) with your favorite physio at Kinatec. I cannot locate the one you sent me.

Went to McGill Sports Med yesterday and was told that some scar tissue on the base of the hamstring has come undone, hence the pain, and only some manual intervention will correct the situation as I cannot use anti-inflammation medication.

There is no pain from running, just a bit of discomfort, especially at night. Have run 7 straight days with no ill - effect. Some at Phoenix might say better than ever, still, I'm afraid of "blasting" it out.

Great to hear that Df is still alive, though somewhat frazzled from the job. Well done DR. The true mermaid is emerging. Easy does it ROLY. Wouldn't want you getting injured or I might have to run in your place with Gro. (DON'T even think about it!!!)

Nice report Ninja, as well. You are so analytical, dissecting the race like a surgeon. I knew the weather had to be a factor because I have run faster than the winning time for my category, so I may have had a shot at it. Maybe next year. We'll talk, OK?

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Handy for midnight gardening ? you?re such a moron?a likeable one granted, but when you start moving the petunias around in the middle of the night and the neighbors call the cops cause they think it?s a break in , hah ! I want to hear you explaining to the men in blue what you were up to. Check your box later in the day mi loco amigo.

Sally , DR, Captain, its coming together slowly. Going to try and throw out and donate (children?s things) as much as we can as we start to put things away, its not a huge place.

Went for a short waddle up the hill after work last night, muggy, no wind, amd at the top where the transmission tower is, some plant, week, tree, whatever is blooming ?, the perfumy odor is nauseating. Not many people around, couple of cyclists racing down, around walkers, argh ! Had to stop for water twice, only one loop and then down. Met Ninj, coming up Peel on my way back down, his usual cheerful self, no complaints about aches and pains from Utica, good stuff.

I on the other hand had pain in my left quad, and was sore when I rolled out of bed this morning, its since worn off from walking. Quick trip to the pool tonight, run tomorrow.

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Nice job guys for running in the humidity... my run was quite humid today too, bordering on very wet, especially since I was immersed in Wahtah! HAHAHA...

DF: In my house, even before food (imagine that!) the computer is the first to go up... but we`ll forgive you since you`ve been making regular appearances here none-the-less

Maybe TB`s had too much of the post-race festivities (he did bring home an empty beer glass) to feel the legs... hehe

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
DR: Nope I didn't burp drink too much. All I need to know is why the room is spinning... (hic)

LifeAny: Looking forward to seeing a friendly face that day as I'm registered for the event as well.

Merc: Not a problem. In covnersation with Sando, he's interested as well. Any one else interested in free beer?

Recovery is proceeding nicely. Skipped track workout in lieu of a jaunt around the summit and back to the gym. Bumped into the ever radiant DF and chatted with her briefly. The humdity and the hill proved to be difficult for me. Bumped into a Phoenix runner near the outlook and chatted with her briefly.

On a different note, from the other side of the pond, is running considered a right-wing[/URL" target="_blank"> activity?

Some on our side of the pond would argue
so[/URL" target="_blank">

Not sure about Yamachiche this Saturday. My body should be fully recuperated by then but mentally, all these events are proving to be exhausting. Perhaps a lighter racing schedule is better suited for me.

TB

DF: Go see George...

So... it appears that I carried the gastro though I never got it... Now I feel bad... but no one needs to know! So stay away from me!

TB... you haven't even fully recovered from this year's beer bash and you're already planning next year's?!!!

SS: The bassin is friggin murky! Some kids passed me (they were doing the 2k) and I didn't even see them... I felt the turbulence, saw the bubbles, but saw no one and nothing! I got a nice mouthful of yumminess as a prize for doing this race... The girls were swimming 1:13s /100m pace for 5k! It's a whole different world, these fishies...

We can cancel Yamachiche if you'd like ... I haven't been training much, just socializing and working and it's a far trip. Never got the chance to register, so we can decide later ...

Oh that's why it's been hot and humid out, mother Nature is getting ready for Yamachiche coming up this weekend... Another good reason to opt out!

SS: Upon further reflection, l've decided against running the 5km at Yamachiche. The next two weeks will be spent preparing for the 5km at Ste Anne
