Hey there DR and Ralf, I see you two are interested in the food ?section? of last weekend.

Ralf, I haven?t seen the pics but its probably the one where I?m stuffing my face with a second breakfast from Tim Hortons on our way down?Gro pulled over and treated us to coffee and this thingy...I can?t remember what its called.
In the evening Gro and the missus put together a delicious meal with wine and dessert, good thing Mrs G and I went out to walk the dog ? I was full to bursting. No pre race pasta dinner for us?

During the weekend we popped into a variety of places to eat, even a diner in Springfield, not the best, but it put something in our guts for the long evening ahead. The boyz bought a variety of snacks, beers, etc. I had brought pretzels, snacks?
The aid station tables were well stocked with soup and other goodies. One of the last spots Merc and I went, I was really cold and the sweetest lady volunteer offered me a cup of soup and cookies she had baked that day?the volunteering on this event is special, lots of heart goes into it.
These tables aren?t meant for support crew (I think) so its best to plan on thermos, snacks, etc in your transportation. Believe it or not you get hungry in the middle of the night even if all you are doing is waiting.
The bbq after the event consisted of half a bird, hotdogs, potato salad, fruit salad..what you wanted to drink, Merc told me it was one of the best bbq chicken he had had...at this point I was sleepy, not really hungry.
Last note on food from the ole gal. Picked up an old cheddar for munchkin and some Green Mountain coffee for myself on our way out of town?all in all no complaints about food.
Whew?that was long and now I?m hungry, going to have a snack.
