It's official ...

HURLEY'S
Tuesday, August 14, 7:30pm
Be there or be square!

So far we've got me, Any, and Truxx (right, Truxx?)

Have fun on the hills tomorrow fellas ... try not to drop Chops too far behind, Truxx. No running for me for another few days ... have to wait for the cortisone shot in my neck to settle down. I'll swim tomorrow Bike on Friday if the weather's nice, short run on Sat., then a marathon on Sunday.

Sally

p.s. I got to watch some super amazing tennis last night at the Roger's Cup, Marcos Baghdatis vs. Carlos Moya. Super tight first match ... lasted 58 min, 7-6. Incredible rallies ... Moya crumbled in the second match and Baghdatis whupped his a$$, 6-1!

Truxx: Thanks for the invite. I won't be able attend this evening. Ran with a friend this morning who wanted to get creative with our 1 hour run which ended up becoming a 2 hour one. Lots of fun though. Weather was spectacular.

DR. Cornwall is the same distance away from work as St. Lin. (plus or minus 5 minutes)

Trux-don't train too hard or I'll never catch you again.

Thurs. Hill report. I told people about our group run, and they asked how many there would be.. I told the truth, there would be two.
So we started out nice and easy, and downhill through the neighborhoods.. Then insead of Clark, we ran up Mount Pleasant. It was a long hill, and we enjoyed it. Then a loop and a half at the Summit Circle, and then back down via the Oratory. I think we found a new route there. It looks like a new road and for the sunset it was a really nice place to be.
So, I checked the watch just after the Oratory and we were at an hour, and then with the run back to the metro I think it was about an hour and 10 minutes. Our last hill toward the metro was a great finish also. I really enjoyed the run.
Thanks Mr. Lambchops!@ I'll see you next week! Same time same place!!

What nice running weather we have been having also. I like these temperatures.

Have a nice weeked.

Sounds lovely Truxx, wish I had what it takes to keep up with the two of you. You?re right, the weather is great.

I had little time last evening so went up the hill right after work, snake, Olmsted to the top, one loop, down to shower and head home. It was comfortable, didn?t need to carry water. Lots of folks around. Bonus, as I came back down, the sun popped down and lit up the lake...very pretty.

Sending healing vibes to my buds on here, take care.

Enjoy the weekend ? ?fly

Merc: How's the recovery coming along? Hope the move isn't proving to be difficult. Hang in there big guy.

KJ: I'll be there as well. Looking forward to seeing you.

Came across an interesting article regarding things that runners often take forgranted[/URL" target="_blank">

Have a good one.

Ninja-the move has been temporarely delayed as the buyer apparently did not have his financing approved. Have two viewers coming over to view this weekend.

I will be trying to do the 10K at the Raison River Footrace in Williamstown. I haven't run in two weeks but have done lots of eliptical and spinner bike stuff. It's been a lost / disappointing summer but now have to concentrate on the Toronto Waterfront & Philly. Hopefully this achilles will fade away. Sunday will be a test. Just want to start easy and coast, without forcing things too much. We'll see.......

I will be starting all over again insofar as training goes, but whining won't get me there, only hard work-when I can run.

So.. I ran Mt.St-Bruno yesterday morning, and it was a nice run. I looked into going to the race in Williamstown, and we got most of the way there. The hotel we found wasn't that good, and the kids wouldn't sleep, so we left at midnight, and I didn't feel like going there today by myself.. It would have been fun to go to the fair with them... oh well. next year.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It is still really nice ot there, great running weather!

Hey Truxx, maybe we can set up a meet up at Mont St-Bruno in a few week, I really like to try running that mountain.

I can make it anytime! It is a great place to train.. Hills, and nice views, and best of all.. completely covered, so it isn't too hot usually! Yeah.. That is going to be fun!
