RG: Welcome back! Looking forward to the race report. We all may very well end up following you in your footsteps.

SS: Aww.. shux you're all sugar and spice and everything nice.

DR: Ouch! Already exposing my weaknesses? That was so many moons ago. I'm a different man now, I've changed. Now I get distacted by food from all over the world.

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Many of America's finest athletes set American records and won a slew of medals over the final days of the 17th World Masters Championships in Riccione, Italy (...)

As reported on masterstrack.com (...) Jeanne Daprano of Atlanta won the W70 400 meters in a new age-group world record time of 1:17.92 (!!!!)

Another American record was set when Bob Lida of Kansas won the M70 400 meters with his time of 61.00. WHAAAAT !

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
PS: Ahhh when everything goes well there are still things to complain about... here`s my rant. I have to attend a welcoming session for 2 days (Monday and tues) at my new company (I`ll be working at the downtown office) but the session is being held on the Transcanadian... (next to SS). How the heck am I supposed to trek there?! It includes a continental breakfast monday morning and a group dinner monday night... Gotta give them points, they did know how to sell the event with food... !

CRAPPOLA!! I won't be able to make it after all to DA HILLS ... not feeling well and haven't a clue if I'd be able to finish on time (since I had to leave early yesterday). So sorry ... and I was looking so forward to it, but I don't want you all standing there waiting for me while I'm still at my desk slaving away ...

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Wonderful running weather to be enjoyed this morning Ran with two running mates for a 1:20. Lots of fun. Off the island via pont de la concorde and back by way of the J-C bridge. Enjoyed running along the new bike path downtown. Not too shabby. The area on between Union and Alymer on De Maisoneuve is still closed to traffic though.

Good news though: the right calf muscle I tweaked during the 10km has healed nicely and my running mojo is back. The pace slightly faster than base pace but at less effort than my base run at the beginning of the week. Oh happy day!

Looking forward to the grass on Ste Catherine along with park benches. Today is the, "en ville sa ma voiture" day.

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
First run this morning after my last marathon. Everything was fine, except when I realised that I've got 5 more pounds as a souvenir.

Did I eat too much duck gésier, aiguillettes, magret et confit?

Pics are coming soon. Got work to do before.

But here's some very realistic pics of the starting line. Just imagine the mood...

Won't be able to attend Westmount Hills tonight, I'm on last minute baby duty. CK, be careful, no one might show up unless confirmed on this board...

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
I'm doing a Roly these days, having to wake up about 4:30 AM to get out to work and beat the traffic. Not working so far. Doesn't leave much energy left for any running. 12 - 14 K this PM from Lafontaine to Shawbridge and back. I'll need toothpicks to prop open my eyes.

Gag. Where are you in the photo? Everyone has hair! Did you wear it? ( you know what I'm talking about ) Maybe that's why I couldn't pick you out.

Re: Montreal "Realm of the Mount Royal trail runners"
Welcome back Gag, five pounds you say ? must have been worth it.

Thanks for the general invite Easy, it sounds like something that could be interesting (frustrating ? I still remember peering at maps of dirt roads in Vermont and I?m sure Merc does too) to try eventually.

Roly ? how exciting ?TB, good news about your calf?bring on Parc Lafontaine?Sally, hang in there?DR, is it Friday yet ? Gro ? you alive ?

Chops, how about a running stroller, Truxx?s kiddies seem to enjoy it ? as I now duck out to hide.

Enjoy the great weather everyone, have a wonderful weekend. fly
