Where are you staying?? I am here now..down from Montreal staying until July 7th..I am in Ocracoke though...most OBX visitors don't come all the way out here LOL I have run every day since I got here last Saturday. It's been sweet to say the least LOL

yes you do LOL it's the last of the islands unless you count Portsmourth...the deserted ghost town island LOL

we have been coming here for 15 years...and love the remotness of it.

anyway...if you venture across on the ferry post a note..i check into CR every day.

OMG did you see the finishing times?? It looks awesome though. I will have to try and convince my gang to drive 2 hours LOL so that I can run 2 miles in the sand. It's hard enough to convince them to do that for a marathon LOL. Thanks for the info.

I will not be doing the race on July 4th as all of the daily activities and festivities have been voted as more fun than going to watch mommy run in the sand LOL

Hi there! I live about an hour west of OBX. My favorite place to run there is the Nags Head Woods area. Not on the trails, but heading toward the sound on the dirt road that leads to the nature conservatory and just going. You can explore some side trails that will take you to the water and there's hardly any traffic.

Kitty Hawk woods area is pretty good too. Have you found the paved path on Woods Road right off 168?
