There's a box titled "Actions" to the upper left of the page but below the page headings; in the box is a link "Turn off e-mail noticfications". Click that to turn off e-mail notifications.

Thanks! I didn't realize how many emails this thing was generating.

I would like to change my screen name, but I have to re-create my account to get that done. Which means I have to change my e-mail address. Grrr. Do you know any other way to change my screen name? I don't like my full name there.

Yoshiko, I think you will eventually be able to change your username by going to My Active and clicking on Edit Profile at the left of screen. You can the click on the option to change screen name or something. They won't let coolrunners change yet though.

Ella :)

That thread subject line makes me think of the movie Johnny Dangerously, or more specifically, Danny Vermin

Ooooh, you shouldn't force a forum merger on me Johnny. Active forced a forum merger on me once....once

Ella is right on. I will see tomorrow when you will be able if you aren't already, but definitely try it and see.

In general, I have been reading all your feedback and want you to know that we are making changes already so that the site works better for you. Many of your concerns are in the works and I want to say thank you again for your patience. In the meantime, if you have any problems please let me know. Thank you!

Well, this is not much fun. How are we going to continue complaining if they are actually fixing things? I like ot be able to fall back to the same old complaints in a pinch...

I agree that the logging in thing is a big pain. Most other things are just annoyances that I can get used to in time. But having to log in on the off-chance I will want to post something, or else risk having to find my way back, is not a lot of fun.

This text interface is slow. A lot of fancy features, but to me the best feature is speed. Fancy fonts don't add much. Style compaint. I am not a fast typer, but I get ahead of this thing. The plain text window seems passable.

Hey BrewDad...this is good feedback and we are working on it now. Thank you.

Also for everyone...
I understand your frustration and am trying to respond and send feedback along to our people here so we can work on things for you. I saw a couple posts that were asking why the merge happened and I wanted to explain things a bit. We realize Cool Running is an amazing community and many of us actually spent time over there are selves. We are athletes too. The merge happened because Cool Running didn't have the capacity on its server to keep the site up and running. Therefore, we merged and we realized it wouldn't be ideal, but we at least wanted you to have a home. Now we are realizing you don't like your new home, so we are working hard to sort through your feedback and start figuring out how to make changes while also answering questions and maintaining a site. Kickrunners.com recently experienced what Cool Running was on the verge of experiencing, which is a complete shut down on the server due to overpopulation. Cool Running didn't want this to happen and either did we so here we are. I apologize if things aren't great, but we are working hard to work together with the Cool Running community to improve. We appreciate your feedback and if you have any problems please let us know or email/call customer support.
