I'm planning on it. I've ran it the last 2 years, I love it. Part of training for Goofy. We've ran the half then hit the Grandview Grill for coffee and waffles after. Gotta replace those calories!
Good luck.

Man I totally missed this thread, sorry! I just posted one above looking for some runners in the area. When is this? I would love to run a half. I am planning to start training Feb 4th for Grandma's Marathon in Duluth (6/21/08)

I don't know the exact date but it's usually around the 2nd or 3rd week in Jan. It's in conjunction with the winter carnival. You get a big coffee mug for finishing and you can buy a long sleeve shirt. It is a nice organized run with 2 or 3 water stops. Last year my gatoraide froze in my insulated camelback tubing.
good luck with training everybody.

I'm from SW MN have only run 4 races since I started running for fitness about 3 years ago. I always have big plans to get my mileage up so that I can train for a half. Another summer has gone by now and I didn't get it done.

I did look at this race last week, and have figured out that if I start a 15 week plan on Sunday, that should be perfect! Maybe this is what I need to have a goal race to keep my focused. I printed off the Half Marathon training plan from the Grandma's marathon website, and it's very detailed and has coaching advice.

I guess I'm in!

OK, I'm in for sure now. I was happy with my TC 10 Mile effort and I know I can go faster. Let the increase in miles begin. What do we have? About 3 months of training. I will need to start running to a from work now to add to the mpw.
Lets hope for another mild start to the winter.
