A show of hands

1. Who here actually like the new site?

2. Who had all there data transfer with no data lost?

Me,

1. No, not yet. Too confusing. Go here to see this, go there to see that, shoe log? Well, we found a shoe I had used over a year ago, that should be enough. "However, any transition is going to cause some discomfort. Moving from the familiar to something new is a difficult situation." I used CR just for the log and rarely posted in the forums. I've been on for over two years and just barely got my CoolRunner or whatever for posting more that 30 post. We were promised an improved site with a smooth transition. I'd hate to see what would happen if they said it was going to be rough.

2. Lost a lot of data including my shoe log with about 10 pairs of shoes and boots listed. I got one pair listed that I threw away almost a year ago. I knew about how much mileage I had for the year before the transfer, it's AWOL here. I did manage to transfer my log before active deletes it (probably cost $19.95 to retreive it soon). I'm preping for the Bataan Memorial Death March in March and had my mileage for my Ruck Marches on CR. Gone into cyberspace during the migration along with my shoe log. I posted on the old site that I see baaad things happening when active takes over, I was hoping I would've been proved wrong.

I had to start over completely. I had to use a different e-mail address and change my screen name before the system would let me in. It took me two days to even find the Cool Running Community in Active. At first, when I tried to find CR, all the came up was an actual list of "all" the members.

Don't let me speak for everyone. I am somewhat "challenged" when it comes to dealing with things like this... I'm sure I'll get used to it.

1. Short answer, NO. Unless some drastic changes occur I'm not using this site.

2. It appears all my data is here in some form or another. A lot is just in the "notes" which is useless for charting.

Short and sweet.

1. I don't like the new site

2. The conversion did lose data

1. I don't like the new site.

2. N/A. I did not use the running log so there was nothing to lose.

1. I don't like the new site. It is very SLOW and requires multiple screens just to enter one run. Plus it appears the running log is seperate from the shoe log. I will be looking for a new web log or going back to an Excel spreadsheet.

2. I'm not sure yet, if I lost data.

The new site isn't as fun and easy that's for sure.

I didn't have a running log over there, but my account didn't transfer. I had to create a new one.

The question is, is anyone at ACTIVE.com seeing/hearing all these complaints? And, if they are...is anything going to be done about it? For example, will they go back and make it like the old CR fourm site?

1. No, I don't like the site. I have yet to try and log a run with the running log. My data only partially transferred over. I wanted to get all my data in before trying the log. I do hate having to log in here at active.com and log in at activetrainer.com. Each time I go to either site I have to re-log in. I hate that. The built in spell checker in Firefox does not work in this forum. Lame.

2. No, not all my data made the transfer. I waited the requested 24 hours before complaining. I sent an email last night. Hopefully I will get my log back today so I can give their log a fair chance.

They don't understand that we were CoolRunning users because we liked what CoolRunning did and the way they did it.

1. The new site is pretty complicated and different then coolrunning. There is a large learning curve and it takes time to get used to doing things that came natural before. I am OK with it now that I have speant some time using it.

2. I had no data transfer issues.

1. I don't like it, too confusing, too slow, and the few simple things I need (like graphs with pace per week) are not there

2. They lost about half of my data

Anyway I moved my log to running2win.com. They imported it, they fix any issue I mention pretty fast, and the site is simple and clear, right the opposite of our active friends.

I'll miss though all the ex-cool running community, you've always been a great support, specially at the beginning of my racing "career" over a year ago

1. Not me! It took me 5 minutes to find my running log and I don't even remember how I stumbled upon it. Anyone have a direct link?

2. It seems like tons of my data disapeared. There were some days I did multiple workouts (running, stairmaster, walking, etc) but only one of the workouts transfered over instead of all of them for a given day. One day it shows me doing 20 minutes of bike riding and that's it. I know I did more than that! I was able to get back on Cool Running to extract all my data, but this still sucks.

And why do I constantly have to log in? I'll be working in the same exact window and click on something and have to log in again and again.

ANYWAY! What is the best Cool Running replacement that you guys have found? I heard runningahead was good and so was running2win...

Lets hear it for movin' on!

My basic information (miles, dates and routes) mapped over, but I detest the format of their log (that is, once I find it). I don't see weekly/monthly totals and I can't run a report on more than 31 days. I don't know where the shoe tracker is and don't plan to waste my time looking for it.

I've already made the switch to runningahead.com. It has many of the cool features that coolrunning.com had, and it's easy to use. They mapped my coolrunning log for me.

So, even if Active.com makes enhancements now, it's too little too late.

Adios!

No, I don't like the site either.

I also lost a ton of data...and there are many many missing workouts. I'm thankful for the other posting to download my log. I miss CR.

This whole thing is a bunch of bullshit and I sent 'em an email to tell them so!! I lost all of my training info too. It says it was successfully transferred but there is nothing there. I've emailed them and all I get in response is a computer generated answer that looks like they just "cut and pasted" something from a FAQ page.

The initial log-in process and all of the emails with new member names and stuff was so completely confusing. Needless to say.......I'm ******.
