Lower Back Pain

Hi,
I'm a relatively new runner and I've noticed lately that my lower back hurts after a run. Not a stabbing pain but just "there" like a very uncomfortable pressure. Is that "normal" and will eventually go away with more practice or do I need different shoes?
Thanks for any advice!

Re: Lower Back Pain
Make sure you're stretching well after each run - hammies, glutes, hips in particular. Also, doing some exercises to strengthen your core muscles may help.

Re: Lower Back Pain
I agree. I think strengthening your core will help a lot. Crunches, obliques, and also back extensions for the lower back muscles.
