Advice on feets

Tomorrow I will be on W5D2 and need some advice on orthotics. I have a pair that I got a few years ago because I have flat feet, was walking a lot and needed more arch support. I didn't wear them all the time, just when walking. Since I've started running though my arches have not bothered me at all. I am running in Nike Free 5.0 so maybe it's the shoes? Question is, should I run in the orthotics to prevent injury down the road or just go with what is working for me now? I'd rather not wear them if I don't have to.

Thanks for your help.

Susan

Re: Advice on feets
Nike Free are as far from orthotics as you can get. I would keep on doing what you're doing unless you start experiencing heel pain or knee pain which might indicate overpronation. If you have flat feet the Nike Free is probably not the shoe for you, but as I say, if you aren't hurting keep on going. You might even strengthen your arches this way and never need the orthotics again.

For flat feet you need motion control shoes.
