Blister question

Hi,

I've just started with a new pair of shoes, they feel much better then the ones I was using before, and were recommended for me at a running specialty store, but I've developed a blister on my right and left foot. Is there anything I should do to treat the blisters, and is there something I can do to keep them from getting worse?

hi there-
i have a similar problem. are you wearing lightweight/breathable socks? sometimes it takes a bit to get used to new sneaks...
hope they get better soon! they have some bandaids out now that are like a second skin type thing, that are specifically for blisters. and also some stuff to help prevent them. id check that out!

Anyone have advice for treating and healing blister that have broken open? Stupid me, I wore something other than my tried-and-true road shoes during a trail marathon over the weekend. I ran the second have of the race with blisters on my arches. At about mile 22, I stumbled and ripped the left one open.

That was Saturday. Last night, I couldn't walk without excruciating pain. Put Vitamin E on it and covered it with a clear Saran-wrap like bandage that stayed on through this morning's shower. It's better today, but I foresee little running during a long healing process.

The others are covered with moleskin. I'll leave them that way as long as possible.

Ideas?
