Re: acl recovery
I had ACL surgery in Dec 2005. Everyone is different as far as recovery goes. I was one that bounced back VERY quickly! I'm giving you a link that may help answer some of your questions. I don't remeber how long it was before I was in the pool swimming. Just be patient and recover first. I was antsy to get back into the swing of my daily routine too but, listened to my PT's before I added anything in. I was biking rather quickly and I remember biking like a crazy person because that's all I was allowed to do in moderation. I recovered well enough that my doc had me on a treadmill with EASY running (building from 30 seconds jogging/then 1 min walking) 5 weeks post surgery. But I was told I was a rare case. I hope this helps. If not feel free to ask! It was the best thing I did and I'm happy I did it. I have run better than ever since the surgery! Be patient!
