Homemade orthotic for Morton?s Neuroma

I?ve had success with an orthotic I made for my Morton?s Neuroma. It was just an experiment. Everyone?s feet are different but this has worked for me. It might help others.

I replaced the inner liner of my shoe with a gel insole. I cut a hole in the insole under to neuroma so there was no pressure on the bottom of the inflamed nerve. I added about a quarter inch (6 mm) of thick padding across the forefoot and down the sides to support the ends of first, second, forth and fifth metatarsals.

I have also added neuroma holes to most of my other shoes.

What did you use for padding? How did you attach it? Did you put the same padding on the other foot? (minus the hole)
