Shoe Tracker

Still trying to get a handle on how to work this new log. Does it not automatically keep track of your shoe mileage like the old CR, or do you have to go to the training tab after every run and manually input it?

jme32-

Active Trainer allows you to add shoe mileage for each workout, just like the CR log. Just select your shoe from the drop down and the mileage from the workout will automatically update to your shoe tracker.

Sorry if I'm just being dense, but where is the drop down that you refer to? I can only see shoe tracker in the 'tools' menu which I think is what the OP was talking about. Or do you have to set up a list of shoes first? If so, where? and how?

Many thanks for any help you can give!

It does not show up when you create the workout. When you complete the workout it allows you to add the mileage to the shoe. Different then the old coolrunning but you still have that functionality.

Yup, that's right Mike. Thanks for clarifying.

I agree it's a bit redundant because Active Trainer has the concept of planned versus actual workouts. The system will only let you log shoe data to actual workouts. It's a process we're going to be simplifying a bit in our next code release right after the New Year. We'd actually hoped it get it out before we did this merge, but the feature release got delayed a bit.
