hup, I love both your pictures. The river picture is what it's all about -- good friends, good times, a thirst-quenching beverage and a river to dip our feet in after a race.

And Rosy's arms-out picture in the pink shirt -- just gorgeous! See how Rosy sparkles?

In grad school it was just one equation after another, linked by

In engineering, our undergraduate texts usually include a phrase along the lines of "it can be shown that ...." Our graduate assignments often included statements along the lines of "show that ...."

I do have mixed feelings about my picture, though. I don't look as 'dorky' as I usually do in my race pictures, but I'm still not thrilled <g>. I did enjoy the visit, though, even if I was late getting there. I can see why you're in such good shape - having to go vertically to get from one room to another. I'm just wondering if the town went that far out when I was growing up in the area.

BTW - if anyone needs someone to drag down their team's times in next year's HTC let me know. I can't promise I could make it out, but I'd at least like the opportunity.

Recently you saw some of WRFB's photos from our Washington, DC meeting. Here is one of the fun ones that I took, which features runningindc (Liz), PDR and MCSolar. This was my favorite of the bunch:

just as a little note: ribs was on his 4th or 5th martini by this stage, and a little woozy... so we were trying our best to sway in rhythm with the way he was tilting his camera...
