I am not going to do Kensington challenge on Sept 22, will run Dream Run 5k, in my home town of Clio that day. Student Council puts this on every year, and since I believe that i am the only person to run all 4 of them I will continue my streak.

Ilene rocks.

I did run the Mizuno 30K this morning. This is my race report...

The race was delayed 30 minutes. It was raining steadily and teh turn out was light. My expectations was to run what would be my marathon pace, but did I mention the rain? It just kept pouring and pouring. After a purposeful slow start (cause I normally go out too fast) I caught up to 2 other runners around mile 2. I then engaged in coversation the rest of the race (which I will now call a training run). I NEVER talk during races, but somehow I did this time. It made the 18.6 miles just fly by. I did run a pace slower then I hoped, but I finished and more importantly, I enjoyed meeting the people I conversed with. SO, I am pleased with this mornings run.

2 negatives - the rain got my socks wet, which ended up in a huge blister on the left foot. Second, I did not feel well towards the last .5 mile. I stopped in the ambulance after the training run, and my blood pressure was 170 over 110. Not sure whats that's all about. But I am making a note of that.
